The Herbal Medicine Consultation is a blend of modalities working synergistically to create an overall balance physically, mentally and emotionally, with the assistance of herbs, vitamins, antioxidants, clinical nutrition, flower esscences, and well as some quick and effective key testing procedures that measure factors of your health.
Herbal Medicine is a natural science, used for thousands of years, that supplements specific biologically active nutritional ingredients in foods and herbal formulas (such as teas, tinctures, capsules and tablets). The nutrients are taken internally to rebalance the body. Many conditions can be addressed such as digestive, allergies, colds or immune imbalances. Bush and Bach Flower Esscences are a world famous homeopathic treatment, individually prescribed allowing a gentle, non-intrusive balancing of emotional, traumatic, or subconscious blockages. This is done by choosing a remedy that matches a client’s current emotional and mental situation, such as worry, uncertainty, or despair. Flower esscences are safe and have no side effects.
Clinical Nutrition Is the analysis of the diet and application of a suitable system which accommodates the nutritional requirements of the individual to attain desired weight and wellness. Nutrition is vital for our health and it can be defined as the science that establishes the relationship between a person’s diet and their overall health. To function properly, the body needs the correct levels of carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and water. If any of these reach too low a level, a deficiency occurs and this results in a person feeling generally unwell or even illness. Antioxidants are another important part of nutrition as they neutralise free radicals in the body – damaging substances that can contribute to premature aging, heart disease, and liver disease, amongst other problems.
Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA), is a scientifically validated, quick and accurate test to determine several biological markers for aging, (such as muscle mass, fat mass, cellular health, fluid balance, toxicity and vitality) to determine the best course of restoring health. This test is quick and relaxing, involving two sticky electrode pads placed on the foot and hand connecting to the machine which passes a low voltage electrical current through one half of the body. This gives the practitioner a wonderful insight into aspects of your health. Results can be monitored over time and can be printed out in graph form to measure progress, so that you can see how your health is improving. A welcome pack will be given to you with some health appraisal, stress and mood questionnaires to complete. Please bring this with you to your initial consultation as it allows an insight into some key areas to address, along with anything else you feel needs to be explained. The initial consultation will involve a couple of friendly tests, such as the VLA (cellular health, lean body mass, fat mass), Orion (electrodermal energy testing), Indicans (gut dysbiosis), and zinc tally test. You will be required to supplement your diet for a period of time with some vitamins, minerals and homeopathic energy medicine as a part of your ongoing wellness program. All details will be outlined in the session.
Ortho-Bionomy, a gentle technique, has evolved into a unique, complete system of natural healing based upon non-force handling of the body’s tension. This safe, natural technique ranges from gentle bodywork to the energy healing techniques used by advanced practitioners. The real work in Ortho-Bionomy is achieved by the body’s own self corrective reflexes. As the reflexes are progressively monitored by the practitioner, the acquired memory patterns in the body disappear and are replaced by the natural, balanced, healthy patterns inherent in the genetic blueprint. This working beyond the physical body creates the possibility of homoeostatis, balance and well being.
Carma uses a mixture of Ortho-Bionomy, Swedish and Remedial Massage involving a systemic working of soft tissue, connective tissue, and muscle, to induce a state of relaxation, improved blood and lymph circulatory flow, and deeper more specific moves to address underlying tension, muscle spasm, cramps, specific areas of pain or injury, and compensation in the muscular system from subluxations of the vertebrae.
